i wanted to share one good book. This is based on my own opinion since i love things that is presented in practical way because it is much easier to understand.


BLISSFUL MARRIAGE a practical islamic guide
written by Drs. Ekram and M Rida Beshir

this book consist of a few component

1. some background of the family crisis of the muslim family which is currenly living in america ( since the writter are staying there)

2. Some of the main objective of marriage

3. Process of selection
i like this part as it provide you with a form that can be a guidelines of the aspect and criteria that we should know of the other parties whom we will choose to marries.

This form you can either give it to the other parties to answer or you can have it as a guideline and be used during taaruf

It make you think of the aspect that you have to think carefully and the characteristic ofthe other parties. the question consist of a direct question and some of it is by giving a situation and we will see how she. he would handle the situation

4. Tried and proven recipes for a successful marriage

basically some of the thing that the writer trying to cover is that marriage does just occur but it need more than that to maintain it. one of the key is communication. it is very important to keep the communication going as it may solve a lot of problem that may come.

5. Family dynamics and family atmosphere
this is a chapter on how to create a good bi'ah (atmosphere)

6. essential spouse obligations

7. TAZKEIATU ANNAFS... purifying and cleansing

This chapter i would consider it as one of the most important chapter.

the inner strength that will keep people on the right track and will help in maintaining the marriage

8. Common marital problem

this is quite an interesting chapter. the writer put it in a case studies. so it is more real and practical on how to encounter it

9. anatomy problems ( case study)

10. family stages: the husband and wife realationship at different stages

11. further tips.

so thats a bout it, i haven't finish reading this book yet. but i believe it would benefits other people too.

We need knowledge in everything

besides life is a process of learning be it formally or from everyday life
